Retriever’s Wireless Extension for Maximo
IBM has authorized Retriever’s wireless field force solution with its premier Asset Management solution Maximo. To achieve this IBM “OPAL” status Retriever has worked with IBM’s Maximo labs and been able to pass their live integration tests and functionality requirement.

Retriever’s solution for Maximo installations is focused on field technicians with asset inspection or maintenance service requirements. Work orders created in Maximo are sent immediately through the Retriever service to the scheduled mobile field technician. The field technician completes job details on a ruggedized PDA or tablet. As the job is completed the job details can be immediately updated into Maximo.

Retriever’s field force automation capability includes

  • Optimized scheduling and dispatch
  • Full workflow and business rule implementation within the handheld computer
  • Support for 1D and 2D barcodes, RFID, photographs, GPS markers within the handheld computer application
  • Integration with GIS environments at both scheduling and handheld application levels e.g ESRI
  • Support for all language sets, including double byte
  • A "fat" client design which allows technicians to work out of telecommunications coverage
  • Support for 3G, GPRS, CDMA, WIFI, cradle and satellite communications

Retriever delivers under both an outsourced SaaS model or traditional software license. Also Retriever’s architecture ensures that applications created today are future proofed against changes in handheld OS or server database upgrades.
